How to make Chai Tea Cupcakes

Making Chai Tea Cupcakes are simple! 
Find your favorite vanilla Cupcake batter recipe


Before you get started, bring the milk to a boil and remove from heat. 
Let two bags of black tea steep in it for 15 minutes.
Press the teabags empty into the milk, and let cool completely.

I used Black Chai from Yogi Tea


Where there is mastery theres is no mystery

Instead of vanilla, add: 

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon cardamom
a pinch of nutmeg

Mix this in with the flour 

If you want a darker, richer Cupcake
switch the sugar with brown packed sugar.


I made mini Cupcakes! 
The batter gives about 24 - 30 minis
Bake for 10 minutes instead of 20
